The Dream That Inspires Us
“Portlandia Foods was created with the simple idea that a small thing like ketchup can change the world.”
Ketchup is the most widely enjoyed seasoning in the United States, and loved the world over. It has become so pervasive that we barely think about it anymore, like it’s a foundation of modern life. We expect it to be readily available in every restaurant, theater, cafeteria or bistro we walk into. Yet we rarely have a choice of what ingredients we consume in our condiments. Often, the only option is genetically modified, sprayed with pesticides, and laced with high-fructose-corn-syrup.
We dream of a future where things don’t have to be this way. It saddens us that “No HFCS” or “GMO free” can even be listed as a “feature” on food products. This should be demanded of every food company we give our money to!
The way we see it, chemical pesticides and fertilizers were never needed in the first place. Monocultures are not sustainable. Food companies should partner with ladybugs and honeybees to produce our food the way nature intended. Consider this your formal invitation, if you haven’t already, to share the dream and join this movement.

Who We Are
From 1997 to present, Jeff, has managed some of the top catering companies in Portland such as Oregon Convention Center, Portland Center for Performing Arts, Portland Art Museum, Art of Catering, and Vibrant Table. Having the opportunity to be exposed to the depths of the diverse grass-roots “Portland food scene” has allowed him to work with professionals from around the world.Jeff’s career led him to the next level of manufacturing. With a total of 15 years experience working with both clients & patrons in the service industry, he felt there was more to give. Condiments were ripe for a change.
The vision is to replace staple condiments in our food system, elevating the industry standard, to a healthier alternative.
